Statement of Faith

Haven Hybrid Academy joyfully affirms the historic Christian faith as summarized in the 1689 London Baptist Confession of Faith.
The Holy Scriptures
We believe that the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the inspired, inerrant, infallible, and sufficient Word of God. The Bible is the supreme authority for faith and life and provides the foundation for all truth and learning.
God
We believe that there is one living and true God, eternally existing in three Persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. These three are one in essence, equal in power and glory, and worthy of all worship and obedience.
Jesus Christ
We believe that Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, became man without ceasing to be God. He lived a sinless life, died as the substitute for sinners, rose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven, and now reigns as Lord and Savior.
Salvation
We believe that salvation is by God's grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. Sinners are justified by faith apart from works and are adopted into God's family through the redeeming work of Jesus Christ.
The Holy Spirit
We believe that the Holy Spirit regenerates, sanctifies, comforts, and empowers believers. He convicts the world of sin and enables Christians to grow in holiness and obedience.
The Church
We believe that the church is the body and bride of Christ, composed of all true believers. Christ has ordained the local church for worship, discipleship, fellowship, and the proclamation of the gospel.
Creation and Humanity
We believe that God created all things for His glory. Human beings were created in the image of God as male and female and were designed to know, worship, and enjoy Him. Through Adam's fall, all mankind inherited a sinful nature and stands in need of redemption.
Marriage, Family, and Human Sexuality
We believe that God created mankind male and female in His image and that marriage is the covenant union of one man and one woman. Human flourishing is found in joyful submission to God's design. Every person bears God's image and is therefore worthy of dignity, compassion, and love.
Our Commitment
Because all truth belongs to God, every aspect of education at Haven Hybrid Academy is to be undertaken in submission to Christ and in accordance with His Word. We seek to cultivate students who love God with all their heart, soul, mind, and strength and who are equipped to serve Him faithfully throughout their lives.
